Hi, my name is Court Richards and I'm an Australian photographer.

As the son of an Army Engineer, moving around Australia and the globe was a big part of my upbringing.

Now as an adult I've continued that trend on my own and have spent the last 20 years working and living abroad.

Growing up, there was always a camera but it was never more than a tool to document a place or moment in time for me and my family.

It wasn't until the early 2000's that I picked up my first DSLR camera and started to understand what it was capable of and more importantly what I was capable of.

My shooting style was eclectic and I could never really decide what type of photographer I wanted to be.

This changed however in 2018.  I found myself living most unexpectedly in the city of light, Paris.

As I explored the vast collections of the museums and galleries I became enamored with street photography.  The gritty exploration of urban landscapes and those who inhabit them drew me in like nothing had before.  It immediately changed my perception of the world around me and led to a passion for capturing the split second between the moments we'd rarely notice.  Moments that barely exist before they are gone forever.

I hope you enjoy my photography and collection of split seconds.  Please reach out, I'd love to hear from you.  If you want to know more about a photo, want to order a print, arrange a photo walk or just say hello.  I'm always ready to talk about something that has become my passion.
